  • ~*~*~* Springtime in Melbourne *~*~*~

We've been spotting some glorious weather here in Melbourne lately.
It's the perfect opportunity to show off your spring dresses and high heels!

Missy loves her new Country Road platform sandals!
I didn't attend the Melbourne Cup this year but familial obligations have been keeping us busy.

For the past few days, I've been busy organising renovations and furniture shopping for our new pad on Toorak Road.
It's taken us almost 2 years to find the perfect pad.
Some of you might remember us missing out on this 2.5 bedroom apartment on Toorak Road some time ago.
    We lost it years ago.
But fate has a funny way to bring you back to where you belong.
And this 3 bedroom apartment came to us when I wasn't even expecting.

Say Hi to my new renovation project:
a 160 sq meter  (1700sq feet) 3 bedrooms apartment for close to AUD$800k.

We're gonna have a very very poor x'mas this year!!!

  • ~*~*~* Julie's Belated 25 *~*~*~

I met up with Julz for lunch at The Italian (101 Collins Street)
after my job interview on Thursday to make up for her belated 25th birthday.

    Salmon & Tuna tartare

After 2 glasses of champagne and a bellini, Missy looked a little worse for wear...

But we went to Spice Market anyway...

And after a cosmopolitan, we went down to Long Room too...

And I must be drunk enough to spend $2 for the GHD hair curler I have at home

    Favourite Cocktail: Night In Paris

And the good thing about a girls night out is that you get freebies everywhere you go like...

like this new cocktail that hasn't even been named...

    And the $50 drink voucher!

    After too many cocktails....

    Officially drunk...

    Happy Birthday, Babe!
    Me You Long Time!

I'm THIS close to living my dream.
    I hope I get it - it'll make everything I've done worthwhile.

We've been working on a Merger + Cost Management proposal for Healthscope for the past few months.
    And tomorrow is JUDGEMENT DAY.

    Wish me luck.

  • ~*~*~* Project Meeting/Tea Party @ Missy's*~*~*~

We met up for asset & liability management group assignment two weeks ago at my place.

And being the perfect hostess, I threw in a few treats to keep everyone motivated as well...

Me & my BFF from Monash

All the financial ratios looked better with the help of champagne. LOL

The discussion of Washington Mutual's financial ratios swiftly moved onto the best way to apply false lashes

And I helped out "chief financial analyst" to style her unruly hair... lol

    Voila!

  • ~*~*~* All Set: Brat Pack Tour 2009 *~*~*~

I've paid for my ticket and I've booked our accommodation for NY.
Flying from Melb -- LA on 25th Nov, spending 2 nights in Lala Land.
Going to NY on 28th, spending 6 nights at the Big Apple before flying back to Melbourne.

And we'll be spending 6 nights at the Waldorf Astoria - travelling in true Park Avenue style.

If it's good enough for the President, it's good enough for us.

  • ~*~*~*  Hope *~*~*~

Adela: I know there'll be light at the end of the tunnel. But how do i know that's not a train?
K*: the easiest way would be to check the train schedule.

As I struggle through the last semester of my postgraduate course, I'm experiencing a strange cocktail of feelings.
    A little anxious (about the inevitability of working again);
    a little overwhelmed (that I actually made it!);
    a little excited (about the possibilities);
a little ecstatic (that I no longer have to pay AUD 13000 per semester for tuition)...

but among all, I'm most looking forward to an extended holiday.
    And that means...GLOBE TROTTING!

First round of the summer vacation is....
    New York/LA...
with fellow brat pack ring leader Y*.

I just booked my flights today, flying with Qantas on A380.
I'm more excited about the aircraft than anything.

Now I can go back to frying my brains with a glimmer of hope.

There will be light at the end of the tunnel!

P.S. You pedar suchte. You promised not to read my blog!

About Me

  • I appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to read this self-indulgent & superficial blog. I'm not one of you smart people who formulate the cure for cancer or work at the Peace Corps. I've done my part for this world - 5 children are being funded to school every month in India because of me. For that reason, I offer no apologies for spending MY money and living MY own life. I would like to advise you that this blog is the epitome of consumerism. Please don't shoot me out of self-righteousness in case you decide to read on against your better judgement.
